Fr. Karol Ksiazek was born on June 3, 1984 in southern Poland, to Lilianna and the late Jan Ksiazek, the third of four children. He began his priestly studies in Tarnow, the largest seminary in Europe. After a 2005 visit to Chicago to see his father (who was working in the US to support his family in Poland), Fr. Karol became aware of the immense need for more priests in America and agreed to continue his studies here, learning English and attending the Seminary of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, a Polish seminary in Orchard Lake, Michigan.
He was ordained for the Diocese of Bridgeport by Bishop William Lori on June 5, 2010 and was assigned to St. Theresa’s in Trumbull for 3 years. A  transfer to St. Edward the Confessor in New Fairfield placed him under the guidance of Fr. Nick Cirillo.  After 5 years, he began his next assignment working with Fr. George O’Neill, the pastor of St. Joseph’s in Brookfield from where he comes to us now.
Fr. Karol states that he has heard many wonderful things about St. Margaret Mary parishioners and is “looking forward very much to worshiping and glorifying our God ... in faith as your spiritual shepherd.”

We are excited to welcome Father as our new administrator
effective February 1st. We will accept him with open arms and
give him all the support he will need during this transition!
